Local artists return to celebrate 10th anniversary of ‘Festive Magic’ show

Every year the E.A. Rawlinson Centre’s Festive Magic show gives local performers the opportunity to share their art in a seasonal setting with a hometown crowd.

This Friday that annual tradition becomes 10 years old.

“Christmas is always an extremely special time for everyone,” said E.A. Rawlinson Centre production manager Ryan Spracklin, who is producing Festive Magic, suggesting a reason for the concert’s longevity.

“I think it’s a great time to have a show that celebrates it and gets people out on a cold winter night and have some fun.”

On the bill for the 10th edition of Festive Magic are returning artists Pam Cochet, Violet Naytowhow, Nancy Hagen and Kayleigh Skomorowski. The singers will be backed-up by Mike Langlois’ band the Jazz Guise, which Spracklin describes as “essentially our house band.”
