Four people are facing first-degree murder charges and one person with accessory after the fact in relation to the death of Sheena Marie Billette.
A motorist located the 28-year-old woman’s lifeless body on Dec. 23 north of La Ronge along Highway 102.
The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit South, La Ronge and Prince Albert General Investigation Sections, Prince Albert and Tisdale Forensic Identification Sections, Prince Albert police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been investigating the case.
Four people are charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and forcible confinement: 25-year-old Charlie Napthalie Charles, 30-year-old Deborah Maggie Mckenzie, 24-year-old Telsa Jane Mckenzie and 24-year-old Sharise Justice Sutherland-Kayseas.
Kandi Rose Ratt, 27, is also charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Ratt and Charles remain at large, while the other suspects were arrested on Monday.
