2025 Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) Winter Festival opens

Valerie G. Barnes Connell Jordan/Northern Advocate Gabe and Maureen McKay were crowned Mr. and Mrs. LLRIB Winter Festival at the JRMCC on Sat. March 1. They spent some time with people at the Healing Round Dance ceremony at Senator Myles Venne School (SMVS).

The annual Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) Winter Festival opened March 1 with the crowning of Mr. and Mrs. LLRIB Winter Festival, Gabe and Maureen McKay, and the first LLRIB Winter Festival Queen, Monica Dorion at the Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre (JRMCC).

Dorion is the first Queen of the LLRIB Winter Festival. She will be on hand at Festival events throughout the 10-event.

Mr. and Mrs. LLRIB Winter Festival are ambassadors for the Festival and will be on hand throughout the Festival as well. This is the second year for the role in the Festival.

Monica Dorion was crowned the First LLRIB Winter Festival Queen at the JRMCC on Saturday, March 1. She will be appearing at the various events throughout the Festival.
