Two charged in alleged Tuesday shooting

Two people have been charged in connection with an alleged shooting that occurred earlier this week.

Just before noon on Tuesday, Prince Albert police located an 18-year-old woman in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

A news release said the victim is in stable condition in hospital.

A 23-year-old man is facing charges of aggravated assault and participation in a criminal organization, as well as several firearms-related charges.

A 24-year-old woman is charged with careless storage of a firearm and two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both suspects were scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday morning.

Police said they’re still investigating the incident and anticipate additional charges.
