Prince Albert man arrested on outstanding warrants after being found jumping on parked cars

A 24-year-old man from Prince Albert is facing five charges, including resisting arrest and breach of court order, following on incident on April 22.

Officers from the Prince Albert Police Service were called to the 300 block of 10th Street East at around 9 p.m. after complaints that a man was jumping on parked cars and yelling at people who walked by. On arrival, police discovered the man was wanted on outstanding warrants.

The man produced a machete while being questioned, but dropped it while fleeing on foot. Police service dog Jeb helped located the man a short distance away.

In addition to resisting arrest and breaching court orders, the man has also been charged with two counts of carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

He made his first appearance in provincial court on April 23.
