Police seize $4,500 worth of drugs in Pinehouse Lake raid

A 26-year-old woman from Calgary is facing three charges after a raid on a home in Pinehouse Lake.

On Dec. 2, police were tipped off that a residence in the community was being used to traffic drugs. Pinehouse Lake RCMP and Meadow Lake Police Dog Services searched the home on the same day and 27 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 16 grams of individually wrapped suspected crack cocaine and 24 grams of suspected cannabis resin. Police place the approximate value of the drugs seized at $4,500. They also seized a cell phone and roughly $12,000 in cash.

Vanessa Andrade, 26, was arrested at the scene. And will make her first court appearance on Dec. 6. Andrade is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000.
