The Prince Albert Mintos had a successful outing in Swift Current this weekend, knocking off the Legionnaires 6-0 on Friday night and 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

From there it was the Barlage show as the Mintos rookie scored once in the second and added two more goals in the third to make it a 6-0 game. P.A. goalie Cale Elder stopped all 24 shots against for his third shutout of the year.

In the second match the Legionnaires were first on the board, as Swift Current forward Hunter Lamb finally beat Elder in the last minute of play in the first period to give the home team a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Austin Lamotte replied for P.A. in the second period and Sopotyk gave the Mintos the lead on the power play half-way through the final frame. Ty Mosimann added an insurance marker in the dying minutes of the game to lift the Mintos to a 3-1 victory.
