Did Prince Albert’s elected officials do the right thing when they rejected the addition of a new private liquor store in the city?

Was this decision indicative of a city council “open for business,” as they profess to be?

Late last year, the provincial government slated Prince Albert as the recipient of one of 12 new liquor stores in Saskatchewan, pending interest from the private sector.
