A 20-year-old man is facing weapons-related charges in connection to an armed robbery on Monday morning.
Prince Albert police received the report at about 11:15 a.m.
The victim said two suspects, armed with a knife and a gun, stole his vehicle. The victim and suspects knew each other.
Officers set up a containment around a home on the 1000 block of 17th Street West, locating several people inside. Police Service Dog Febee was also at the scene.
Upon further investigation, police located a sawed-off shotgun.
The accused’s charges include robbery with a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
A 50-year-old man is also charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance in relation to this incident.
Two men charged with assault and robbery in separate call
Earlier that same morning, just before 9:30 a.m., Prince Albert police responded to a weapons complaint on the 600 block of 28th Street East.
The victim told police two men, whom she knew, were armed with a firearm and demanded her vehicle. She was able to leave the multi-dwelling residence and call the police.
Patrol isolated two suspects to a suite in the building and they surrendered without incident. They later seized a .22 calibre rifle from the residence.
A 26-year-old man is facing several charges, including assault, robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.
A second 26-year-old man is charged with assault, robbery and breach of a court order.
