14 arrested, 54 charges laid in ISET investigation

Fourteen people have been arrested and 54 criminal charges laid after a pair of search warrants were served in the midtown area Tuesday morning.

The investigation, led by the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) led to police raids at 460 13 Street East and 406 11 Street East just after 11 a.m.

As a result of the search, police seized “numerous” guns, drugs, ammunition, cash and a bulletproof vest. Patrol members, the Special Weapons and Tactical Team (SWAT) and the K9 unit assisted in the search and arrest of suspects.

As a result of the 11th Street search, two women and two men were charged with numerous firearms-related offences. At the 13t Street location, a man and a woman were hit with numerous firearms and drug-related charges. All of the charged are from Prince Albert.

A total of 54 Criminal Code charges were laid as a result of the pair of search warrants. All of the suspects made their first appearance in court Wednesday.

The search warrants are a part of a police service focus on drug and weapons offences. Since the beginning of August, the focused efforts have led to a total of 127 charges and 10 seized guns.

ISET is made up of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and the RCMP.
