An investigation by the Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) has led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of a variety of drugs and other paraphernalia.
ISET searched a vehicle and a house on Nov. 7, 2018, at about 12:05 p.m. in the 300 Block of River Street East.
The police arrested a suspect in his truck parked in front of his residence for possession of cocaine and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Officers found a large amount of Canadian currency, a baggie of methamphetamine weighing about 1.28 grams, brass knuckles and a methamphetamine pipe.
They then searched the house, finding a taser, a bottle with suspected GHB, a 3.17 g bag of methamphetamine, a 1.88 g bag of MDMA and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A woman was also found in the house and was arrested and charged.
A 37-year-old Prince Albert woman is facing six charges, including three charges of possession of drugs (meth, GHB and MDMA) and two charges relating to the taser.
A 42-year-old Prince Albert man is facing 11 charges, including six weapons-related charges, three drug possession charges, possession of proceeds of trafficking exceeding $5,000 and breach of his recognizance to not possess or consume drugs or to possess firearms. The suspects both made their first court appearance on Nov. 8, 2018.
ISET is made up of members of the Prince Albert Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
